Will my information or my child's information be available to everyone online?
No, the information you provide will only be available to parents, teachers and administrators within your child's school. No advertisers or third parties will have access to the information. Additionally, you can opt to not have your information available via electronic access. However, other parents would not be able to contact you using the electronic access for playdates, birthday parties or other needs.
Can I access the application if I don't pay my PTG dues?
That depends. Many PTGs are providing this valuable service to you to make your life easier. As with the paper directory, you may be required to pay your dues before getting access to this service.
If I buy the application will I have to pay for each school and access point?
You will be charged for access to each school directory for each account. For example if you have a child in 3 different schools offering this application you would pay for access to each school as you would with a paper directory. As with paper directories a portion of this money goes to support PTG programs.
If I pay my PTG dues on School CNXT, how do I get a receipt for my School PTG?
School CNXT will send each parent an e-mail receipt of the dues paid to their school. This form will have all pertinent tax information to insure for proper accounting.
When will the electronic access be available?
Electronic access will be available shortly after the data has been uploaded from the school's database. There is no print time delay. In Massachusetts all schools are required to have the information available by the beginning of the school year. However, many updates, new students and teacher assignment changes happen throughout August and into the summer months. The Electronic Access allows for instant update of all information as soon as it is available to School CNXT. This also goes for changes throughout the year. With a paper directory there is typically only one update throughout the year.
